Desk Receptionists (DRs) help check out hall equipment, distribute loaner keys, and report facility problems, including those with laundry and vending equipment. DRs also provide information and security services for your residence, including monitoring, 探视, 如果需要的话, calling escort services.
Front Desk Hours
- 10am - Midnight, Monday - Friday
- Noon - Midnight, Saturday & 周日
Hours may vary during hall opening and closing times and for University holidays.
洗衣
Residents are provided 60 "starts" each semester on their ODU ID card, which is enough for 30 loads of laundry (1 wash + 1 dry = 1 load). If additional "starts" are needed, they can be purchased with Monarch Plus. Monarch Plus funds can be deposited at the University Card Center, located in the Monarch Hall, or online via the Card Center website.
The "starts" can be carried over from fall to spring semester. Nusbaum apartment complex has a laundry room located at 49th and Killam; Powhatan has two laundry rooms throughout the complex. Swipes expire at the end of the spring semester agreement periods.
小型厨房
Small kitchens are located throughout the residential complexes across campus. Many of the kitchenettes include a microwave, 平的加热板, and a sink for cooking up a snack for all your friends on your hall.
休息室
Lobby and floor lounges are provided to residents and their guests for the purposes of studying and/or community-building activities.
邮件
Personal mail is delivered to each building or complex on a regularly scheduled basis. 信 requiring a signature are delivered to the front desk. For addresses and mailbox locations, visit 学生的邮件 & 包.
*At this time all packages sent to residential halls are received and distributed at the ODU 邮件 Center located at 4401 Powhatan Ave.
