The 评估 咨询委员会 provides leadership and recommendations on the quality and implementation of student learning outcomes assessment at Old Dominion University. 教师 on the committee will examine issues and solutions related, 但不限于此, to academic assessment support, 资源, 和流程.

  • Conducts a review of academic assessment and provides formative feedback on reports, makes recommendations for action
  • Reviews the university's annual academic assessment report and discusses progress toward our goals for continuous improvement

  • Makes recommendations for professional development opportunities related to assessment, 教育学, and learning outcomes research
  • Review's assessment processes and 资源 to make assessment meaningful and manageable for programs
  • Answers questions about student learning outcomes assessment and provides support to colleagues at the university

  • Review's policies and procedures
  • Makes recommendations to existing governing structures, 必要时, to foster a campus-wide commitment to improvement-oriented educational assessment

咨询委员会 Members

The committee is comprised of at least two faculty members per academic college, a liaison from 教师 Senate, and an administrative faculty member from IE&A. The committee meets monthly during the fall and spring semesters. Members will serve for 2 years and will be appointed by the Associate Deans.
